Our Mission

The Kincardine Islamic Centre serves the social and spiritual needs of the Muslim community in Kincardine and its surrounding areas. Our mission is to meet the evolving needs of our diverse community by providing a location for daily prayers and offering programs and services that promote spiritual growth and understanding of Islam. We are committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Kincardine Islamic Centre

Our Story

  • 2009-10

    In the early days, we used to meet for prayers at individual homes on a rotating basis.

  • 2010-11

    In 2010-11, the Kincardine Islamic Library was located in a brother's basement.

  • 2011

    As the community grew, we started gathering weekly at the Davidson Centre.

  • 2012

    In 2012, we started to explore a permanent location and setting up an organization.

  • 2013

    United Church was the place for our weekly meetings & Islamic School Classes.

  • 2014

    Kincardine Islamic Centre moves into 969 Queen Street to establish our Masjid.

  • 2020-21

    Kincardine Islamic Centre registers as a non-profit organization.

  • 2022

    Kincardine Islamic Centre application for charitable status is approved by CRA.
